Cycling on “Sugar Road,” a single road through sugarcane fields that was used as a filming location for a TV drama, is also popular.
The island also has beautiful mangroves and a monument to the classic folk song “Kohama-bushi.
Fly from Naha to Ishigaki Island, then take a high-speed boat or ferry.
