Ryugujo Observation Deck

An observatory with a good view, maintained as a park, and excellent facilities in the surrounding area

Kushima Island, located southwest of Miyako Island, can be reached by crossing the 1690-meter-long Kushima Ohashi Bridge. Go straight for a while, cross the village, and on your right is the “Ryugu Observation Deck,” built in the image of Ryugu Castle.

From this three-story observatory, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the peaceful sugar cane fields as well as Miyako and Irabu islands.

The surrounding area is conveniently maintained as a park, complete with a parking lot, stores, cafes, restrooms, and showers.

Since there are no showers at Nagama Beach on the southwestern end, we recommend using Nagama Beach as a base for playing in the ocean.

Why not spend some time at the Ryugu Observation Deck while overlooking the Kurima Bridge and Miyako Island on the other side of the river?
