Hirakubozaki

Cobalt blue spectacular view spreads out beyond the grazing land with unique topography

Hirakubozaki is located at the northernmost tip of Ishigaki Island and has a unique terrain where black cattle are raised, and has been used as grazing land since the Ryukyu Dynasty.

From the lighthouse at the end of the pasture, the small island “Daichi Rijima” can be seen in front of the lighthouse, and on the right is a coral reef surrounded by cobalt blue ocean.

Visitors can also climb the rocks by the parking lot to enjoy the beautiful view.

In addition to the vivid contrast of green and blue, a monument of the northernmost point of Ishigaki Island is also standing, and the spectacular view of cobalt blue is a must-see.

In addition to the lighthouse side, the view of the island side with beautiful green carpet is also not to be missed.

It takes about 1.5 hours by car from Ishigaki city, and it is recommended to visit the unexplored area while enjoying the scenery along the way.

The drive around the island takes about 3 hours, half a day is recommended if you want to visit the points of interest, and a full day is recommended if you want to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace.
