Ibaruma Sabichi Cave

Ibaruma Sabichi Cave is the only limestone cave in Japan that connects to the sea. A mere 15-minute walk from the entrance, the emerald green waters of Ibaruma Bay unfold before your eyes.

At low tide, you can also visit strange rocks shaped like turtles and mushrooms.

This limestone cave is said to have emerged from the ocean floor 270 million years ago.

The cave is 300 meters long and an average of 15 meters wide, and inside the cave are stalagmites and stone pillars of various shapes. And there is also a power spot rock nearby.

At low tide, it is possible to pass through to the sea, but care should be taken at high tide. Check the tide before you go and enjoy yourself. When the tide is about 70 cm, you can go to the mushroom rock.

After passing through the cave, you will see the beautiful ocean. It is a very wonderful place!
