Araha Park and Araha Beach

Araha Park is home to Araha Beach, a pure white sand beach approximately 600 meters long. It is also known as a place to watch the sunset.

In addition, there is a playground with a motif of the Indian Oak, a 3-on-3 basketball court, a pavilion, and other rest spots that attract many visitors.

There are also many marine activities such as parasailing and dragon boating.

In the mornings and evenings, the promenade is crowded with people who enjoy running and walking.

From Mihama American Village, it takes only 15 minutes to walk along the Chatan Park, so it is easily accessible.

The people of Chatan have a history of rescuing the crew of the Indian Oak, a British ship that ran aground off the coast of Chatan in the 18th century, and providing them with generous hospitality.

To cherish this memory, playground equipment was installed in the motif of the ship. This playground is a fun place for children to play and has become one of the most popular spots in the area.
